Blog Tour: The Summer Guest by Emma Hannigan

I am so thrilled to be part of The Summer Guest Blog Tour by the lovely Emma Hannigan. Today I will be sharing Emma's Top Five Beach Reads. The other stops are listed below, so please do stop by them for some other great content.

Emma's 5 top beach reads!

I always struggle to pick five favourite books. So I’m going to go with the ones that I’ve just enjoyed while on holiday. I’m figuring that my delight might seep through and others will agree!
I’m obviously a commercial fiction author and therefore that’s the genre I enjoy most. I’m sure I ought to read intensely complicated book that require an English/Russian dictionary along with a BSc in Forensic Investigation. But I read for relaxation and entertainment, so the books I choose are for sheer joy! I need to identify with the characters and somehow visualise myself in their shoes. All the titles I’ve chosen did that for me. I hope you’ll pick one up and delve inside…

1.     If You Were Me – Sheila O’Flanagan
I’ve just finished this one and I was sad to do so. This is such a warm and engaging love story and I wish I were starting it all over again.

2.     Liberty Silk – Kate Beaufoy
Such a beautifully written and enchanting story about three women from three different eras. Simply stunning.

3.     The One Plus One – Jojo Moyes
All Jojo fans will instantly love this. In my humble opinion this is her best since Me Before You (if you haven’t read that one, I implore you to do so too!).

4.     The State We’re in – Adele Parks
I’m a huge fan of Adele’s but this was my favourite of her’s and it’s a really sweet love story that will warm your heart by the pool!

5.     Now that I’ve Found You – Ciara Geraghty
This is a slice of Dublin wrapped up in a cover! Interestingly the main point of view is a man’s. I flew through this.

Synopsis

A little magic is about to come to sleepy Caracove Bay...

Lexie and her husband Sam have spent years lovingly restoring No. 3 Cashel Square to its former glory. So imagine Lexie's delight when a stranger knocks on the door, asking to see the house she was born in over sixty years ago.

Kathleen is visiting from America, longing to see her childhood home... and longing for distraction from the grief of losing her husband.

And as Lexie and Sam battle over whether or not to have a baby and Kathleen struggles with her loss, the two women realise their unexpected friendship will touch them in ways neither could have imagined.

In Caracove, there's more than a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
